ProQuest Central is
the largest, multidisciplinary, full-text database available in the
market today. This resource provides access to almost 40 of ProQuest's
complete databases, with a variety of content types across over 175
subjects, making this the broadest single research resource in the
world. Unlike other resources, ProQuest Central is made up of separate,
fully searchable databases which may be used together or separately.
General reference database for elementary and middle school learners, researchers, and educators covering curriculum areas and content sets such as reading, language arts, current events, science, social studies, history, health, and technology. SIRS Discoverer provides editorially-selected, indexed, and curated materials from over 2,100 newspapers, magazines, and websites offering guided research for young researchers. The Traveler program provides free remote access for all Arkansas
citizens to high-quality subscription databases from reputable
publishers. The databases contain a variety of information sources:
popular magazines, newspapers and periodicals; academic and professional
journals, eBook collections, and general reference and discovery
sources that are suitable for online and scholarly research. The
resources selected support a variety of education and reading levels.
Sanborn Maps were originally created to help fire insurance companies access their liability, but have since become a great tool for historians, genealogists and other researchers. This online database provides access to Arkansas Sanborn Fire Insurance Maps from the years 1867-1970, although some years and locations are missing from the record.
