FAQ
When will the Library be open to the public again?
The Carroll County libraries will not open the buildings to the public until the County
Judge orders county buildings back open to the public. Arkansas
counties will base their policies on those set forth by the Governor.
The State Secretary of Health has said that the criteria necessary to
begin phase one of reopening the state could emerge in early May.
Can I still check items out from the Library?
We have implemented a "no contact curb service" so that patrons may
continue to pick up items that they have requested. We are placing
everyone's pick up in a bag and labeling it with their initials and an
assigned bag number. These are placed on tables in front of the
Media Center window where they can be monitored by staff and can be picked up by patrons any time during Library hours Monday through Friday 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Saturday 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM. Call us at 253-8754 or email info@eurekalibrary.org to place a request.
Can I special order items through the Interlibrary Loan service?
Interlibrary Loan is the service by which we are able to borrow books from other libraries across the country. This service is temporarily suspended until further notice. This does not affect our ability to borrow books from the other libraries in Carroll County.
Why am I getting overdue notices for items I've returned?
At this
time we are holding all returned items in our library for a minimum of three
days before we check them in and sanitize them. The minimum part means that
sometimes it is longer - the library is closed on weekends right now and we are
working with minimal staff, so all things are taking longer than normal. The
email message you received about overdue items is an automated email. For now,
please disregard any overdue messages and do not worry about any items being
overdue. If you think an item that you have returned has remained on your record for too long, even taking quarantining into consideration, please feel free to reach out to us to correct it.
